Microphone Support

Most laptops already have a microphone installed inside the laptop itself. This is not to say you can’t purchase another or better one and use it instead of the one that comes with your laptop. Desktops do not come with any microphones pre-installed, so an external mic is required in order to do any voicing features such as speaking to someone via skype or a similar tool. Most external microphones use a standard stereo micro plug which plugs into the computers sound card input. Some higher end microphones require the use of a USB connection.
